“Collective Individuality”
experimental video movie, 7’55”, ultraHD, sound, loop
The project “Collective Individuality” is a study on the psychological need of the human being to integrate into a social circle, thus feeling a sense of belonging. This work is constituted by an experimental video that stages the degradation of the psyche in the position of outsider. The technical elements are a center of interest in order to achieve a unified work. The author aims to problematize the human tendency to detach oneself from the character traits that individualize them in order to favour their inclusion in a collective. This requires an investigation of otherness, both psychologically and culturally.

Practical work included in the master project “Collective Individuality. The experimental video film as a visual and psychological experience of introspection and the need for belonging” coordinated by conf. univ. dr. Lavinia German and prof. univ. dr. Florin Grigoraș, within the specialization Photography and Video Art, FAVD UNAGE Iasi, July 2024 session.

“Human Learning”
photographic installation, digital collage, framed texts, variable dimensions
The theme is intended to be a reminder dedicated to human learning through image and sensation, both generated by the photographer who can convey strong emotions through images, without necessarily being dependent on artificial intelligence
The project consists of a series of collages and post-photographic interventions that emulate the productive processuality of artificial intelligence platforms, works based on prompts extracted from Romanian contemporary abstract literature. The title “Human Learning” is, consequently, a metaphorical alternative to the machine learning that A.I. technology provides.

The practical work included in the homonymous bachelor’s degree project is coordinated by Prof. Dr. Cătălin Soreanu and Prof. Dr. Florin Grigoraș, within the Photo-Video specialization, FAVD UNAGE Iasi, July 2024 session.

“Unanswered dialog”
photography, digital intervention, 5 digital prints, 50x70cm
The thesis proposes a healing process through photography, on the feeling of loneliness and isolation towards oneself. With the help of a photographic series of five successive staged, large-scale photographs, the evolution of this process is brought to the foreground, capturing key moments of transformation and self-acceptance. The project is made up of a photographic series of five consecutive staged images and proposes an incursion into the feeling of loneliness, coupled with isolation from oneself. The title paradoxically encompasses the artist’s response to the concept. The basic idea of the project is art therapy. The artist presents his personal problems, isolation, loneliness and proposes a therapeutic path through which he can come to an understanding and acceptance of his problems.

Practical work included in the undergraduate project “Dialog without answers. Introspective aspects in staged photography” coordinated by Prof. Bogdan Teodorescu and Prof. Florin Grigoraș, within the Photo-Video specialization, FAVD UNAGE Iasi, July 2024 session.

“Frequency of introspection”
experimental video movie, 11min., HD, sound, loop
The evolution of the “I” in particular represents an inexhaustible source of reflection and inspiration for the author, who intends to deepen this concept in the work “Frequency of introspection”, exploring its various aspects and its impact on the way the individual perceives and constructs his own identity in relation to others. The project is realized in the format of a narrative experimental film investigating the theme of identity exploration. It has a linear coherence, having at its center a character in an inner search, in an introspective atmosphere that emphasizes the connection between the different mental spaces and reflective moments of the author.

Practical work included in the master project “Frequency of introspection. Genesis of an identity. Understanding the self through the investigation of the past” coordinated by Prof. Univ. dr. Matei Bejenaru and Prof. PhD Florin Grigoraș, within the specialization Photography and Video Art, FAVD UNAGE Iasi, July 2024 session.

“Digital Dementia”
experimental video movie, 2’31”, fullHD, sound, loop; installation, objects of the artist
The theme of the work is the relationship of memory in relation to the interaction with technology and how we depend on it for different aspects of our lives. The author uses visual elements of expression such as altering the integrity of the files and montage, in an attempt to support an abstracted narrative that gives the viewer the power to create a personal timeline by associating their own experience with the corrupted part of the image.

Practical work included in the undergraduate project “Digital dementia – the border between natural and digital.
Explorarea memoriei in film experimental” coordinated by lecturer dr. Andrei Cozlac and prof. dr. Florin Grigoraș, within the Photo-Video specialization, FAVD UNAGE Iasi, July 2024 session.

“Personal Spectrum”
photographic installation, variable dimensions, sound
This project explores the relationship between photography and spirituality, analyzing how photography can be used to express and document the spiritual dimensions of human life. The work started from a search for a form of understanding, balance and shape to the concept of spirituality. Starting from this premise, the author set out to demonstrate that photography, as a visual art form, has the capacity to be a powerful vehicle for introspection and spiritual reflection, through a series of images in a post-photographic manner. The project combines documentary images with symbolic images, in a non-narrative, non-linear structure, where each photograph is meant to suggest and explore various aspects of human spirituality and reflection.

“Dandelion Voice”
photography book, variable size photographs
Under the narrative format of a photography book, the project consists of a visual investigation that focuses on the research of the phenomenon of migration from a sociological, economic and artistic point of view, emphasizing its connection with motherhood, including intercultural and ethnicity processes, and not least the manifestation of the concept of “home” developed in 21st century Europe. “Dandelion’s voice” is a documentary-narrative photography project based on the story of Lucretia, an 84-year-old woman from a village in Romania who organizes a personal museum in her own home with traditional objects collected or made, to cope with the migration of her children to Spain.

“In my village to feel is a disease”
installation, experimental video, voice-over, projection on photographic prints, 8′ 07″, fHD, loop
The project “In my village to feel is an illness” is a series of experimental videos, accompanied by voice-over and projected on photographic prints. They sum up visual fragments of subjective thoughts, memories and perceptions of universal experiences. They all aim to emphasize the importance of self-awareness and an individual’s emotions. The work interrogates the vulnerability of feeling, self-awareness and understanding ourselves; delving into our innermost parts of the mind and the most hidden subjects we dare not talk about. The project is based on a poem by Elena Simion.
Practical work included in the master project “Researching affect through post-cinematographic practices” coordinated by Prof. Matei Bejenaru PhD and Prof. Florin Grigoras PhD, within the specialization Photography and Video Art, FAVD UNAGE Iasi, July 2024 session.

“Light Codec”
documentary optical installation; photographic series, documentary video, 2’33”, 4K, sound, loop
“Light Codec” is a representation of the process of communication through light beams. The concept is based on an analogy between the basic principles and notions of communication and its visual representation through the use of a system realized with the help of laser technology and the installation of mirrors. Supported by photographic documentation, the project aims to provide an expressive way of understanding the process of communication, seen from the perspective of an artist working with the medium of photographic imagery and dynamic imagery. The work consists of an optical, site-specific installation, composed of physical objects and processes engaged in a stable kinetic chain, centered on the idea of the propagation of a beam of light in a controlled environment. The concept traces the behavior of the beam projected, reflected and refracted consecutively and successively, dynamically conditioning its perceptible changes in the established space and trajectory. The analogy with the communication process is also established at the level of the communication medium, the chosen space functioning as a reflexive projection of the artistic context in which the creativity of the generations of young artists to which the author belongs is manifested.

Practical work included in the undergraduate project “Light Codec. A metaphor of communication through the light beam” coordinated by conf. univ. dr. Lavinia German and prof. univ. dr. Florin Grigoraș, within the Photo-Video specialization, FAVD UNAGE Iasi, July 2024 session.
